Deborah Regina Champagne is President/CEO of DelCor3 Entertainment & PR, a boutique Management and Public Relations Company representing a diverse talent base of clients in the entertainment, film, music, sports and business industries.  A South Carolina native, born and raised in Sumter (a military town); she is part of the ancestry bloodline of educator/historian, Mary McCloud-Bethune who was her maternal grandmother’s cousin.  Her grandmother told the stories of her and Bethune walking to school together in Maysville, SC.

Deborah is a graduated of the prestigious Claflin University, of which she credits for preparing her for a successful career at BellSouth Telecommunications, and the vision to become an entrepreneur.  After leaving Corporate America, she worked for Cox Communications Media (AJC) and later started Melodic Hearts, Inc., a gospel marketing and promotions company before pursuing a career in Real Estate.  At BellSouth, she worked in the Marketing Communications and Advertising organization where she gained most of her marketing, branding and media expertise.  At Melodic Hearts, Inc., she and her business partners produced an artist showcase called Praizz-Improv and helped to launch the careers of many young Spoken Word and Hip-Hop gospel artist. 

Deborah said “My undergraduate experiences proved that education can make the difference in cultivating the talents of young people.”  

After years of working in Corporate America, she continued her education and earned her real estate license and real estate appraiser certification.   Deborah said, “As a real estate professional, I recognized how I could positively impact homeowners and investors with my witty but extremely industry-savvy negotiating style.”

Deborah is the eighth of nine children, born into a family of talented singers and musicians.  She said, “At a very young age, my family realized that I had a gift to act, write, sing and entertain.”   Now, she is doing what she believes she was born to do; and that is any and everything in the entertainment and media industry.   By holding on to the dream of making a positive mark in the world of entertainment; as a Publicist, she uses her passion and experiences to help promising talent make the best choices in their businesses and careers.  

 In 2008, she was featured on the Food Network alongside celebrity chef Tyler Florence on the first season of "Dear Food Network" (which still runs seasonally).  The network liked her audition video so much that they used it as a benchmark for all other video submissions for the show.

Deborah used her gift-of-gab and opinionated personality as Editor-In-Chief of Fe’SAAD Magazine (www.fesaadmag.com) from 2008-2013, and as writer and visionary for her column & blog, affectionately called, Get the Bubbly with Deborah Champagne.  She has interviewed numerous celebrities such as Nephew Tommy (Steve Harvey Morning Show), actors Rockmond Dunbar, Leon (Robinson), Carl Payne, LisaRaye McCoy and political figures such as Congresswoman Maxine Waters. 

In 2012, she served as Unit Publicist for Studio11 Films, a film company co-founded by actor/producer/director Mel Jackson and Sharon Tomlinson.  She has also worked with clients like Leaf (winner of BET’s Welcome to Dreamland) Tommy Ford (sitcom Martin) and child actor Alison Mills-Newman of 1960’s sitcom (Julia) and 1970’s sitcom (The Leslie Uggams Show).  
Deborah was a member of Atlanta’s renowned "Jomandi Theatrical Group", and serves as an employee writer-reporter-producer for the Fulton County Government Television (FGTV) where she works as a Property Tax Assessing Appraiser.

As an accomplished singer/songwriter, Deborah has written a number of songs and traveled abroad as an entertainer.  She says,
  • "The entertainment business with all its glitz and glam isn’t as rewarding as when I traveled abroad for the Department of Defense Overseas Tours, entertaining military families and children."

Deborah's passion for writing continues on her Blogs and upcoming projects that consist of books, treatments for films and reality shows.   Her goals are to become a sought-after writer/producer for major networks and commentator and contributor for publications and news & talk shows.
 
She is a creative fun-loving-witty Aquarius and health advocate who loves reading, writing, travel, fine wines, shoes, sports and a good movie.  The Metro Atlanta resident is a mother of two sons, Delvin (married to Tasha) and Corey (a gifted actor/singer/songwriter/model) – and Glamma to the love of her life, grandson DJ.
