BRONZE LENS FILM FESTIVAL ATLANTA

The first annual Bronze Lens Film Festival of Atlanta took place November 11-14, 2010.  Conceptualized in 2009, this year’s debut festival, a non-profit organization is dedicated to bringing worldwide attention to Atlanta as the new film mecca and as the benchmark for recognizing film and film production for and by people of color.

Celebrity Attorney - Shannon King Nash Birthday Bash

Celebrity attorney Shannon King Nash celebrated her 40^th Birthday in style, laughing, dancing, and most of all giving back to her client’s charities and foundations.  The party took place at her home in Cobb County under a white draped tent in her backyard where clients, family and friends were greeted by photographers who captured their grand entrances.   The spirit of the season was the request “In Lieu of Gifts”, guest were asked to donate to the charities that Shannon helped to establish and/or manage for clients like House of Payne’s cast member Doc Shaw and his Fresh Dreams Foundation , The Chaka Kahn Foundation and a few others

EnVogue Still Sexy in Union City, GA

Labor Day weekend in Union City, Georgia was more than typical and boring. Although few businesses have relocated from the South Atlanta City, a concert featuring Oakwood College graduates, 80's R&B sensations revived the town with a crowd that looked like a sea of people. The crowd was so massive that the Union Station Mall parking lot where the stage was set required two additional viewing screens to make the concert worth the supporters time.

Former White House Social Secretary named CEO of Essence-Jet

Desiree Rogers, former White House Social Secretary under the Obama administration was named CEO of Johnson Publishing Company (Essence-Jet) in Chicago by Chairman, Linda Johnson-Rice. It is not clear whether the controversy and criticism surrounding Rogers when an uninvited cast member of The Real Housewives of DC was able to crash the Obama administration's first state dinner played a role in her resignation months later. She is a native of New Orleans and a longtime consultant to the Johnson Publishing Company.
